For the eighth consecutive year, Nordiska Kompaniet presented awards in various categories to individuals who made a significant impact in the industry. A total of six awards were presented from a jury of carefully selected creatives, fashion designers, and style icons.

The winner of this year's innovation award is a true fire spirit passionate about sustainability and innovation. Located at 43 Rue Notre Dame de Nazareth in Paris, the showroom will take place from 27th September to 4th October, 2023, showcasing a curated selection of the most prominent young brands from the SFC [INCUBATOR], as well as current and alumni designers supported by FASHION EAST. Taking part this season are: ALL-IN, ASHLEY WILLIAMS, AVAVAV, FEBEN, HODAKOVA, JOHANNA PARV, LOUIS ABEL, RAVE REVIEW.

The FASHION [X] SHOWROOM was initiated in 2021 to create a global platform highlighting some of the most attractive emerging talents to shape the industry's future. Now in its third year, the FASHION [X] SHOWROOM has become a must-visit for top-tier press and buyers and a unique opportunity to meet with the talents personally.

The FASHION [X] SHOWROOM is supported by OnceMore® from Södra, the world's first large-scale process for recycling blended fabrics. Showroom visitors will also be able to meet the OnceMore® team and have a look and feel at the unique end products.

With a focus on sustainability, transparency, and material innovation, CTF 2023 hosted six inspiring keynotes and four panel discussions, exploring themes such as the immense potential of green textiles and innovative materials, sustainable forestry, new technologies, legislation and eco-friendly regulations, and the importance of cross-sector collaboration.&nbsp;

The initiative offered a unique opportunity for the entire supply chain involved in man-made cellulosic fibers (MMCF) to come together, collaborate, and drive positive change, inviting industry leaders and stakeholders from the fashion, textile, and forest sectors.

Röhsskas Modedagar occurred from the 16th until the 19th of March, 2023. This year’s edition offered inspiring lectures, panel talks and workshops exploring themes such as talent development and the conditions for sustainable transformation within the fashion textile sector. The inaugural edition of Röhsska Modedagar took place in 2016.

Röhsskas Modedagar is part of Textile Movement Talents, which the Swedish Fashion Council and Tillskärarakademin in Gothenburg organize. The initiative is part of Västra Götalands Regionens initiative Textile Movement, a joint project in western Sweden to establish the region as a pioneering textile cluster in Europe, spearheading sustainable and circular innovation in the industry.&nbsp;

SFC’s ‘Stockholm [X]perience’ started off with the launch of ‘Fashion Transformation’, a new report series that highlights the transformation of the fashion industry and lays the foundation of SFC’s future focused agenda. The launch of the report took place during a panel discussion in collaboration with Polestar featuring industry experts exploring the transformation of the industry and the future it will lead to.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The report series Fashion Transformation was presented in collaboration with Polestar during a panel conversation moderated by Lucy Maguire from Vogue Business. Participants included Danica Kragic, professor in computer science at KTH The Royal Institute of Technology, Suzan Hourieh Lindberg, founder and CEO of The Social Few and Perspetivo, Jonatan Janmark, Partner at McKinsey, Linn Af Klint Kansmark, Strategic Project Manager, Circular Business at H&amp;M, Lisa Lang, Director of Policy and EU Affairs at EIT Climate KIC. The conversation was focused around the transformation of the industry and its most significant challenges and opportunities.&nbsp; &nbsp;

The following two days enabled international and local press, as well as other parts of SFC’s community to meet with the participants in SFC [Incubator]. The incubator focuses on brands and creatives combining innovative sustainable business models with creative excellence and a disruptive vision.&nbsp;

Participants in SFC [Incubator] highlighted during the event include upcycling brand Hodakova, AVAVAV’s Creative Director Beate Karlsson, BFC Newgen brand Feben, celebrity favourite Jade Cropper, Selam Fessahaye and previous LVMH Prize finalists and Gucci Vault participants Rave Review.

Acknowledging the power of mixing different cultural expressions, ‘A Stockholm [X]perience curated by SFC’ also included a one of a kind performance hosted by musician Mona Masrour featuring some of Sweden’s brightest R&amp;B and hip hop stars and an exhibition by art project AMAZE. The two-day event ended with the release of the new SFC book ‘’MODE 2022’’ and [Fashion X], a new digital platform highlighting the voices of the future of fashion.&nbsp;

The closing dinner hosted at Fotografiska Stockholm presented the <a href="https://www.swedishfashioncouncil.se/sfc-book">SFC book ‘MODE 2022’</a>, created together with NUDA PAPER, which is the creative translation of the report aimed at everyone interested in the future of fashion. Stories include Our Legacy Workshop, EYTYS, Anna Uddenberg, FEBEN, the next generation of fashion critics and more. The dinner also introduced [Fashion X], a new digital platform examining the fashion industry from a social, political, economic and creative point of view. [Fashion X] has been developed by SFC in partnership with SALLY, EY Doberman’s future manifestation lab.

At Dover Street Market's 3537 courtyard, Fashion [X] Showrooms media partner Dazed handed out free copies of their latest magazine. Dazed is the most influential independent fashion and culture title in the world, and champion radical fashion and youth culture, defining the times with a vanguard of next generation writers, stylists and image makers.

The issue featured cover stars such as Kelela, Burna Boy, Hal Baddie and Saucy Santana. At the free mag drop, a thousands bottles of beer came courtesy of friends at Heineken.&nbsp;
